Zonta Club of Wellington Dinner Meeting April

You are warmly invited to join us at the Zonta Club of Wellington for our first dinner meeting - On Tuesday 23 April 2024.

Our speaker this month is Alison Cadman

Alison Cadman is the Chief Executive of Dwell Housing Trust, a registered community housing provider based in Wellington. Dwell builds and provides home to people in need of secure, affordable housing with a supportive landlord. Alison has been working in the community housing sector for 20 years and has amassed a vast knowledge and experience of social housing and housing generally. Alison has been on the national council of Community Housing Aotearoa – the peak body for community housing organisations in NZ – and was co-chair. She has a BA in sociology and a postgraduate certificate in Business.

Alison was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship in 2013 and studied the growth of not-for-profit social housing organisations in the UK and Australia. She was appointed to the Board of the Aotearoa New Zealand Winston Churchill Trust in early 2022. Other governance roles includes being a trustee of the Newtown Ethical Lending Trust, who make interest-free loans as an ethical alternative to high-interest lenders.

Alison was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2022 for services to housing and the community.
