Zonta Club of Wellington Dinner Meeting August

You are warmly invited to join us at the Zonta Club of Wellington for our first dinner meeting - On Tuesday 27 August 2024.

Our August Club meeting is dedicated to fundraising for our Zonta International, District and Local projects. We  ask you to consider donating the price of a meal ($40). This means we won’t have a meal in August. There will be some nibbles, and you are encouraged to bring your own refreshments. 

We are aiming to raise $1500 for our projects through this initiative. If you attend the meeting or not, your $40 donation will be gratefully received to support building a better world for women and girls.

Our Speaker this month is Julie Haggie

Julie Haggie has been CEO of Transparency New Zealand since 2018.   She will talk about a few learnings from her fairly recent attendance at an anti corruption conference in Lithuania. Julie treasures her work as she is able to meet, work with and learn from amazing people working for good here and overseas. She also values her non-paid involvement in environmental, social, academic and sporting things. Julie's careers sort of by decade have been Dorky Child, Hopeful Athlete, Angry Activist, Bored Secretary, Multi-tasking Teacher, Overbusy Manager and Variable Leader. She and her wife, teenage twins and two dogs live in the Hutt Valley. She is interested in biculturalism, democracy, the environment, music and art. She descends from Irish, Scottish and Scandinavian people who were fortunate to leave the northern hemisphere from 1835.  She has whanaunga in Tainui.
