The Zonta Club of Wellington invite you to join us for the annual breakfast event to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 on Thursday 5 March from 6.30am.

Hosted by Hon. Nicola Grigg, Minister for Women.

Our theme for 2026 is a call to Recognise the Remarkable, The Unseen Force.

This International Women’s Day we want to recognise the quiet giants, the women who sustain other women, communities, industries, and families without a spotlight. It’s about the women whose absence would cause the system to collapse, but whose presence is often treated as a given. It is also about the woman in your life who 'quietly' made your path easier? The one who gave you the advice no one else would, or who did the work that allowed you to shine?

Our MC for the breakfast event is Latayvia Tautai, a passionate advocate for under-served communities and an amalgamation of her ancestors' wildest dreams and the sacrifices of her resilient single mum on the benefit. Recognised with the 2022 Prime Minister's Pacific Youth Award for Leadership and Inspiration, her work spans governance, advisory groups, intersectional feminism, poverty eradication, youth leadership, financial literacy, prisons, and grassroots activism.
