Planet, people and nutrition with Chia Sisters

Chloe & Florence, founders of Chia Sisters

Chloe & Florence are the founders of Chia Sisters, a majority women owned and led health beverage company supplying cafes and supermarkets nationally and in Australia, Hong Kong and the USA. The Chia Sisters journey began in 2012 when Chloe Van Dyke set out to create an all-natural drink that provided long-lasting energy and hydration.

Florence is a lawyer by training, previously working at Bell Gully and for the United Nations and recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Master of Laws focused on business and climate change.

Chloe holds a Bachelor of Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Neuroscience. Along with Neuroscience she has a particular interest in business ethics, sustainable systems, collaborative models, and intergenerational thinking.

Chia Sisters is a living wage, solar-powered, Zero Carbon and B Corp certified company. They are co-founders of Businesses for Climate Action, an initiative to see 1000 Nelson Businesses measure and reduce their emissions.

Florence was recognised in the Forbes 30 under 30 List, Chloe is an Obama Asia Pacific leader and both are Edmund Hillary Fellows.  Florence is a new Mum to Frida and is currently on maternity leave from her role as Global Sustainability Lead at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
