Anika Green and Ana Ayora winners of the 2023 Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) awards
Zonta club of Wellington hosted the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) award ceremony 24 January 2023. The YWPA Award Program encourages young women to participate in public affairs by recognising the candidate’s commitment to the volunteer sector and volunteer leadership.

Wellington recipient, Anika Green and Mana recipient, Ana Ayora responded to the presentation of their awards with uplifting and well-considered addresses, outlining their passions and visions for the future.
The award winners were decided on through a collaboration between Wellington and Mana Zonta clubs. The Mayor of Wellington, Her Worship Tory Whanau graciously attended the ceremony, providing inspiring words for the young women. Several members of the Mana Zonta Club also attended to share in the celebration of these two outstanding young women.
