Introducing our MC this year
Latayvia Tualasea Tautai

Latayvia Tualasea Tautai is a community leader shaped by lived experience of poverty and the power of community. Her leadership has been forged through the realities of multigenerational homes, night shift work, overtime, and being village made.
She was recognised with the 2022 Prime Minister’s Pacific Youth Award for Leadership and Inspiration, and her work spans governance and advisory roles, intersectional feminism, poverty eradication, youth leadership, financial literacy, and grassroots activism.

Latayvia’s commitment to community has taken her to the New Zealand High Commission in Singapore, the United Nations in New York, and across Aotearoa. She previously led the Y25 leadership programme for rangatahi at YWCA Aotearoa and currently works in the union movement, focused on gender justice.

Latayvia, whose inspiring leadership and commitment to justice embody the IWD26 theme, a call to RECOGNISE THE REMARKABLE.
We are honoured to welcome Latayvia Tualasea Tautai as our MC for this year’s International Women’s Day Breakfast.
Join us for breakfast at Parliament or on the livestream.
